Singareni plants to be oil-fired in May-June

The 2x600 MW thermal power plants being set up by Singareni Collieries (SCCL) at Jaipur in Adilabad district may be ready for synchronisation by the year end.

CMD of the company N. Sridhar has, on Tuesday, asked the executing agencies to make sure that the two units are coal fired by November and December respectively. During a critical review of the works, it was decided to schedule the boiler light up with fuel oil for the first unit in May and for the second unit in June this year, a press release from SCCL informed.
