The Chief Executive Officer of Secunderabad Cantonment Board, S.V.R. Chandrasekhar, made the announcement here, while stating that over 17,000 names have been removed from the electoral list from Ward 2 alone.

Register objections

The residents have time till the end of this month to convey their objections to the Secunderabad Cantonment Board.

The deleted names are said to be those of residents who the SCB considers encroachers of government land. The move has left some of the elected ward members and representatives of the Congress party fuming.
