The GHMC Standing Committee has approved the installation of bronze statue of legendary heroine Savitri on the road leading from Filmnagar to Tolichowki.
It has also decided to appoint a project management consultant for taking up civic works like cement roads and storm water drains . Tenders are to be clubbed suitably to reduce the number of contractors and speed up works.
The weekly meeting on Wednesday presided over by Mayor B. Kartika Reddy approved the Hyderabad Metro Rail project request to dismantle central lighting poles and shift them to the sides .
