Rich tributes paid to Mahatma

Glowing tributes were paid to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, on his 146{+t}{+h}birth anniversary on Friday.

Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao led the State in paying floral tributes to the Mahatma. At an official function organised at Bapu Ghat, the Governor and Chief Minister along with several Ministers and other leaders offered floral tributes. Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya, Deputy Chief Minister Md Mahamood Ali, Rajya Sabha member K. Keshava Rao and others were present.

Earlier, the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy and other Congress leaders offered floral tributes at Bapu Ghat.
