Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan has advised the Sainik Welfare authorities to go beyond rules and help needy ex-servicemen.

The Governor chaired the second meeting of the State Managing Committee of Special Fund for Reconstruction and Rehabilitation of Ex-Servicemen, Telangana State, at Raj Bhavan here on Tuesday. He said that ex-servicemen should be extended support with sympathy and empathy as they had made sacrifices for the country. All possible support should be extended to the ex-servicemen and their family members by relaxation of rules, if necessary, he added.

The Governor appreciated the services of director of Sainik Welfare Col Ramesh Kumar (retired) for working towards the welfare of ex-servicemen in the State with dedication.

Chief Secretary S.K. Joshi, Governor’s principal secretary Harpeet Singh, Finance principal secretary K. Ramakrishna, and representatives of various defence organisations, who are members of the State Managing Committee, attended the meeting.
