A man who was accused of sexually assaulting a child in April last was killed allegedly by the relatives at Hayathnagar on Monday afternoon.
According to Hayathnagar Inspector, P Venkateshwarlu, a lorry driver J Srinu (21) of Balajiguda had sexually assaulted the girl who was his distant relative. He was arrested by the Hayathnagar police in the case and remanded. However, Srinu secured bail from the court a month ago.
On Monday, while he was going on some work, the father and other relatives of the girl waylaid and attacked him,
Srinu sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Osmania General Hospital where he succumbed, the Inspector said..
