Rajendranagar robbery: cops still clueless about suspects

Robbery at a sexagenarian couple’s house at Rajendranagar on Friday night seems to have thrown a serious challenge to the Cyberabad police, who are yet get a breakthrough.

Cyberabad Commissioner of Police V.C. Sajjanar said six teams have been formed to identify the suspects. They have been questioning several people, who worked at the couple’s house. Police are analysing footage of CCTV cameras located a few metres away from the house, as the surveillance camera outside the victim’s house at Sirimalle Colony of Hyderguda was not functioning.

The role of habitual offenders and family members has been ruled out and cops are suspecting that those is in the know must have committed the offence.

On Friday night, Rajendra Prasad Agarwal died after he and his wife were gagged, blindfolded and tied up with shoelaces by robbers, before they looted the house. Agarwal died of breathlessness and shock as he was on assisted respiration since two months.
