All India Congress Committee vice- president Rahul Gandhi will skip Hyderabad and reach Nirmal in Adilabad District of Telangana from Nanded in Maharashtra to participate in `Rythu Bharosa Yatra' on Thursday night.

"Owing to an emergency meeting, Mr Rahul Gandhi has to attend, he will be coming to Nirmal directly from Nanded. He is not coming to Hyderabad. He is reaching Nirmal tonight. Tomorrow's padayatra programme remains the same,". TPCC President N. Uttam Kumar Reddy said in a statement.

As per original programme, Mr. Rahul was to arrive at Shamshabad airport at 4 p.m. and later drive down to Nirmal in a motorcade. He is scheduled to undertake padayatra to meet families of farmers, who committed suicide on Friday morning.

Due to the change in programme, the Congress leaders were trying to rush to Nanded to receive Mr. Rahul Gandhi. Elaborate arrangements had been made by the Congress cadres to accord rousing welcome to the party vice-president at Nirmal.
