The Osmania University student JAC leaders who have embarked on a bus yatra with the slogan ‘OU To KU’ as part of their struggle for employment said that, their agitation would not stop until all the 2 lakh vacant posts in the government were filled.

Their other demands included removal of the contract system and the outsourcing of employment system, and regularisation of the services of all the employees recruited under the two systems, extension of loan facility to all the eligible unemployed youth to establish self-employment units and setting up of industries in all the districts.

Addressing a press conference, here on Wednesday, the OU JAC leaders Nijjana Ramesh Mudiraj and Syed Saleem Pasha said that the very purpose of the formation of Telangana has not been served with the negligence of government in recruiting for the vacant posts. They said scores of the educated unemployed youth were in dire straits without employment.

They also demanded the announcement of a calendar to fill the posts.

The TJAC convener Bhaskar, who flagged off the student bus yatra from here said that, the government should relax the age limit for jobs as it had failed to give regular notifications for the recruitment.

He also demanded the establishment of industries in every district outside Hyderabad. The yatra which started from Hyderabad yesterday left for Nirmal. It would reach Hyderabad on October 31 culminating in a public meeting.

The OU JAC leaders called upon the youth and the students to attend the meeting on a large scale.
