Publicity for voter enrolment in local dialects

The dialects and languages spoken locally are being put to use for the first time in voter enrolment drive in Adilabad district taking advantage of the social messaging platform WhatsApp and social media to give maximum publicity to the effort of the Election Commission ahead of the Assembly election.

The initiative was taken up by Collector D. Divya who got the appeal to eligible voters recorded in Gondi and Lambadi dialects besides in Telugu, Hindi and Marathi which the local voters are conversant in.

These audio messages are being circulated in social messaging groups and in social media for gaining maximum reach.
