Power inspection held for metro rail corridor

This inspection is a part of the process for according sanction for energisation of stations.

L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited has announced that the Chief Electrical Inspector to Government of India (CEIG) for Hyderabad Metro Rail Project D.V.S. Raju inspected the 33kV and 415V indoor sub-stations completed from Dilsukhnagar to LB Nagar and Osmania Medical College, Gandhi Bhavan metro stations on Wednesday.

This inspection is a part of the process for according sanction for energisation of stations which will facilitate the testing and commissioning activities of railway systems like signalling, tele-communication and automatic fare collection etc. in this section.

Metro Rail stations will receive power at 33 kV voltage from 132/33/25 kV Receiving Substation (RSS) at MGBS. “Commissioning of these stations will provide impetus for furthering the progress and completion of Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) section from Ameerpet to LB Nagar of Corridor- I,” said Mr. Raju. Along with the CEIG, L&TMRH Head, Electrical P. Srinivasa Murthy and HMR’s deputy electrical chief engineer H.S. Ananda were present, a press release said.
