PM adopting ‘inhuman’ approach towards Kerala

August 20, 2018 12:29 am | Updated 12:29 am IST - Hyderabad

Telangana PCC treasurer Gudur Narayana Reddy has condemned BJP government at the Centre for allegedly adopting an ‘inhuman’ approach and said all Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced was ₹500 crore for flood-hit Kerala when it suffered losses to the tune of nearly ₹19,512 crore.

In a statement here, the Congress leader alleged that while the entire Kerela State was facing severe shortage of food, drinking water and medicines Mr. Modi was playing politics by deliberately delaying or denying the required help.

The Congress leader also alleged that BJP-ruled States have not announced any significant help to flood-hit Kerela when non-BJP rule States including Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Punjab, Delhi and Tamil Nadu have announced huge financial assistance. He supported the demand made by Congress president Rahul Gandhi for declaring Kerela floods as National Disaster.
