Platform ticket price hiked for a week

The South Central Railway has announced a 100% hike in platform ticket price during the Sankranthi week to regulate the flow of people entering the platforms.

For the period between January 11 and January 17, ticket price has been increased from ₹10 to ₹20.

The Railways believes this would avoid inconvenience to the travelling public by means of ensuring decongestion of platforms, an official statement informed on Monday.
