Petty quarrel leads to murder

October 12, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:40 am IST - HYDERABAD:

A petty quarrel over repairing a two-wheeler resulted in the murder of a labourer at Trimulgherry late on Saturday night.

The man, G.M. Srinivas (29), stayed with his brother-in-law Parmeshwar, at Pedda Kamela. At around 11.30 p.m., Parmeshwar was repairing his bike in front of their house when their neighbour M. Ravinder (42), a scrap vendor, asked what he was doing so late in the night in the locality.

Hearing the commotion, G.M. Srinivas came out and picked up a quarrel with Ravinder. Heated arguments ensued between them, following which the labourer went into his house, brought a utility knife and tried to stab Ravinder.

However, another person, D. Srinivas (33), intervened and tried to take the knife from G.M. Srinivas but the latter also attacked him resulting in injury to his hand.

“Having suffered an injury, D. Srinivas snatched the knife from G.M. Srinivas and stabbed the latter in the stomach and chest. He died on the spot,” K. Sattiah, in-charge Inspector, Trimulgherry, said.
