Every section of the society - be it farmers, youth, students or employees are thoroughly disillusioned and disappointed with the three-year rule of the TRS government led by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.

“People’s aspirations and expectations after the formation of Telangana have been dashed because this government has not delivered any of its promises,” said Telangana BJP president K. Laxman on Thursday.

In an exclusive interaction, the BJP leader charged that while those who sacrificed their lives for the separate State and those who participated in the agitation have been ignored, those who had fought tooth and nail against Telangana have been rewarded by the present government.

The discontentment about the government which started with the farce of fee reimbursement, not having a Dalit as Chief Minister, jobs recruitments drying up, lack of progress in two-bedroom housing scheme, distribution of land to the Dalits, irrigation to one crore acres and so on, had reached the peak when the chilli farmers were arrested and handcuffed for protesting against lack of support price.

“The Chief Minister keeps talking about rich State and surplus budget but he is not able to pay the bills on time, why is he not giving the promised hike to the employees and why did he not pay up for farmers loans in one go instead of four stages which did no good,” Dr. Laxman sought to know.

The BJP is correctly poised to turn the people’s support to its side in the 2019 elections and it has already taken up a mass mobilisation and mass contact programme in all districts to not only strengthen the party at the grassroots level, but also project the failures of the government.
