Telangana Government Pensioners’ Joint Action Committee has appealed to the government to issue orders without delay for payment of 15 % additional pension to those who completed 70 years.The recommendation on additional pension was made by the 10th Pay Revision Commission.
The executive body of the Telangana pensioners which met here on Friday wanted the government to announce interim relief immediately since the PRC has not yet submitted its report.
Joint Action Committee chairman K. Lakshmaiah and secretary general T. Subhakar Rao in a release said that they submitted a representation to the Chief Secretary on various issues related to pensioners.
They requested for release of dues of two instalments of dearness relief sanctioned on July 1, 2018 and January 1, 2019, sanction of special Telangana incentive to all those worked and retired in Telangana. The government had sanctioned special incentive to serving employees.
The pensioners also sought allotment of flats constructed under Rajiv Swagruha scheme to those who did not own houses and 50 % subsidy in RTC buses to pensioners who are above 60 years, continuation of medical reimbursement facility without any limit and allotment of 1000 sq.yards site for Pensioners’ Bhavan.
