Parliamentary Secretaries’ appointment withdrawn

The Hyderabad High Court was told on Friday that the appointment of Parliamentary Secretaries by the Telangana State was withdrawn and appointees were informed on May 23 that they shall not function as Parliamentary Secretaries.

The Bench comprising acting Chief Justice Dilip B. Bhosale and Justice P.V. Sanjay Kumar was dealing with a contempt case filed by Congress MP Gutha Sukhender Reddy. He said that the orders of court setting aside the appointments are not implemented and the Parliamentary Secretaries are functioning. He requested that the concerned should be punished under the Contempt of Courts Act.
