Organs of brain-dead person donated

A mother donated the organs of her son after he was fatally injured and declared brain-dead by doctors.

M. Krishnaiah, a 24-year-old student from Aamanagal mandal of Mahabubnagar district, was hit by a vehicle on Monday when crossing the road in Aamanagal.

Local residents admitted Krishnaiah to Aware Global Hospital, L.B. Nagar on Thursday where he was declared brain-dead. Both Krishnaiah’s kidneys, corneas, liver and two heart valves were retrieved and sent to needy patients.
