A third-year student of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Madhapur, was killed in a road accident here on Thursday afternoon.
The accident took place when the victim, Mithali Sharma (20), hailing from Pune in Maharashtra, was on her way to college with a friend who escaped with injuries. She was riding pillion, police said. The accident took place at Parvat Nagar on 100 feet road when her friend, Riktim, suddenly applied the brake, following which Mithali fell off the bike with the head hitting the road. “She suffered a severe head injury and died on the spot,” police said.
