A newly-wed couple allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves from a giant tree at their agriculture field in Kankal village of Pudur mandal in Vikarabad district on Saturday night.
Dappu Mallesh (22) and Jyothi (20), both residents of Kankal, fell in love and got married with the support of their family members four months ago.
Parigi circle inspector A.V. Ranga said the couple resorted to the extreme step on account of financial difficulties. The incident took place around 7.30 p.m. on Saturday. Mallesh was running a tyre repair workshop in Parigi.
