New app for police personnel

June 23, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:36 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Policemen will no more queue up at the police station to file the daily activity report at the end of the day. Thanks to the new mobile app ‘Police Workforce Management System’ introduced for them, Hyderabad police personnel now can file the report from anywhere through their mobile phones.

The new app was launched by Director General, Centre for Good Governance, K. Rama Krishna Rao, at the Hyderabad Police Commissionerate on Monday. It was designed by professionals from Centre for Good Governance- Hyderabad and the IT team of the city police. “We studied the needs of the city police and designed the app. Officials can monitor the work of their sub-ordinates and also suggest ways to improve their performance,” Mr. Rao said.
