‘NDA Govt. is farmer friendly’

Telangana BJP president K. Laxman on Wednesday released a poster which details the steps taken by the BJP-led NDA government for the welfare of farmers and other sections of the society as well as the development schemes in the last four years.

“Unlike the previous regimes, this government took up several transformative schemes to ensure agriculture becomes a profitable enterprise. This year’s budget allocations is an indication that farmers’ interest is the top priority for the Prime Minister,” he said.

The PM’s initiatives like insurance, soil testing processes, Kisan TV channel, raising the minimum support price for several crops, adequate supply of fertilizers have endeared the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the farming community, he observed. Funds have also been liberally released for the irrigation projects in Telangana too, he claimed.

The party’s Kisan Morcha will be taking up propagation of these measures closer to the people throughout the State from Aug.17 to 26 and at the same time will also highlight the “failures” of the TRS government, he added.
