A painter, M. Shanker (34), of Kalvagadda in Shahalibanda was killed allegedly by his brother Anil over a family dispute at their residence on Wednesday night. According to the police, their mother died a few years ago leaving behind some money and ornaments. The brother duo often quarrelled over sharing property. On Wednesday, Anil and Shanker quarrelled over the issue again. “It’s not clear as to what exactly happened, but relatives found Shanker dead in the house,” Shahalibanda Inspector S. Maheshwar said.
