The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Globarena, V.S.N. Raju, refuted the allegations against his company over mishandling the Intermediate results and said the firm was qualified to do the job, and the contract was awarded in an open tender.
He also denied that the firm was favoured over its competitor handling the BIE results for the last several years. “We were technically qualified along with another firm and we quoted lesser price to get the contract. There was no favouritism,” he said. Mr. Raju said the mistakes pointed out after the results were immediately rectified and there was no incompetence on their part. He said the inquiry into the results issue was on by a three-member committee and he would not like to comment on the issue when the committee was still working on it.
Financial issues
The company, he said had worked with various universities, including the JNTU Kakinada, and they have moved out of JNTUK only due to financial issues and not because of any technical incompetency.
