Advances in computer technology had increased manifold the success rate of knee replacement surgeries, said orthopaedic surgeons from MaxCure Hospitals, Madhapur.

During a media interaction on Friday, the surgeons said the computer-aided minimally-invasive knee replacement surgeries have made surgeries fast and reliable.

On Friday, MaxCure Hospital held a function attended by orthopaedic surgeons and patients who successfully underwent minimally invasive knee surgeries.

“There is negligible loss of blood, less pain and quick recovery in minimally invasive surgeries. We have technology that can align the implants in a better way for the patients. In the end, the efficiency and success has improved,” said senior knee surgeon Krishna Kiran.

A statement from the hospital’s surgeons claimed their knee replacement surgeries had enabled patients to start walking on the same day of the surgery.
