MIM launches youth connect project, LEARN

Seeking to reach out to the youth, the Majlis-e-Itteahdul Muslimeen on Sunday launched its LEARN project, the brainchild of party president and city MP Asaduddin Owaisi.

The project seeks to engage youth in meaningful discussions about democracy by means of youth parliaments, youth baithaks, town hall meetings and heritage walks, too.

“Our MP had also tweeted about lowering the age of candidates for contesting elections to 20 years. Further, we are seeing a dip in participation in elections, especially in urban areas. The project intends to encourage the youth to be an active part of an active democracy,” a party member said.
