Millers agree to reduce redgram price

The Telangana State Dall Millers & Traders Federation has agreed to sell Grade-I redgram at Rs.135 per kilogram per person instead of Rs.160 per kg, as agreed on Thursday, through special sales counters to be opened in all municipal towns, cities and mandal headquarters.

They have decided to reduce the price agreed upon in a meeting with the Commissioner of Civil Supplies on Thursday following a request made by Civil Supplies Minister Etela Rajender.

They have also agreed to sell dal at dal mills till stocks last. The sales counters would be supervised by the officials of Civil Supplies Department.

In a statement, president of the federation N. Madhusudhan said they would open the special sales counters in all mandal centres from Saturday to sell the commodity being sold at Rs.200 per kg in the retail market at Rs.160 per kg, till the stocks with them last.
