Legendary philosopher Karl Marx’s enduring legacy continues to inspire mass movements across the world and empower working class to fight against class exploitation and social oppression, said CPI (M) Polit Bureau member B.V. Raghavulu.

Marx’s philosophy is gaining renewed attention worldwide in the backdrop of the crisis in global capitalism and growing economic disparities in many countries including India, he said, underlining the need for following the theoretical framework propounded by Karl Marx to bring social transformation and safeguard the interests of working class.
Mr. Raghavulu was speaking at a seminar on the theme “Marxism Neti Prapancham” organised by the CPI (M) district committee on the occasion of Karl Marx’s 200th birth anniversary here late on Saturday evening. “The method suggested by the renowned philosopher holds immense significance in the country in the wake of unabated exploitation of labour by the ruling classes under the present dispensation at the Centre,” he said.
He emphasised the need for propagating Marx’s philosophy among the younger generation through seminars, meetings and literary pursuits. A book on the life history of Karl Marx titled “Mahonnathudu Marx” was released to commemorate the bicentennial birth anniversary of the revolutionary philosopher on the occasion.
