Martyr’s family gets aid

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday assured the family members of police constable Kishtaiah, who committed suicide during the Telangana statehood movement, that the government would bear the expenses of his daughter Priyanka’s education, who is now pursuing medicine. He also assured them of sanctioning a house when the constable’s wife Padmavathi, son Rahul and daughter met the Chief Minister at his camp office.

Australian delegation calls on CM

A delegation of the Australian Skill Development Institute called on Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao here on Friday and announced to set up a skill development training centre at Kothur in Mahabubnagar district.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister said students should develop skills in their interested subjects while pursuing academics itself and stated that the government was planning to make skill development a part of curriculum.

Home Minister N. Narsimha Reddy, Mahabubnagar MP A.P. Jithender Reddy, Shadnagar MLA M. Anjaiah Yadav and institute executives David Cannel and Senthil Kumar were present.
