MANUU gets ‘A’ grade from NAAC

The Maulana Azad National Urdu University has been awarded the highest ‘A’ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), and the university has secured 3.09 CGPA points in the second cycle.

Second time

This is the second consecutive time that the varsity has been awarded ‘A’ grade by NAAC. Vice-Chancellor Mohammad Aslam Parvaiz said it was the only university in the country providing higher education through Urdu-medium and has withstood different tests and evaluation to come out with flying colours.

Award of ‘A’ grade to MANUU for the second successive time also indicates that Urdu as a medium of instruction is second to none, the Vice-Chancellor said. MANUU offers courses in modern subjects like information technology and computer engineering, besides arts and social sciences through Urdu medium.

Graduates of MANUU are well placed in the market, said Shakeel Ahmed, registrar.

Online admission

Meanwhile, the university has also announced the last date for online admission of its courses. Last date for online admissions into the Ph.D, M.Phil and other entrance based regular courses will be May 31.

Courses include Ph.D, M.Phil, Post Graduation in Journalism and Mass Communication, MBA, MCA, M.Tech, computer science and M.Ed, B.Ed, and undergraduate courses such as B.Tech (computer science), Professional Diplomas in Elementary Education, civil engineering, computer science engineering, electronics and communication engineering, and information technology.

The online application forms for all programmes are available atwww.manuu.ac.in. Admission process for all merit-based courses will, however, continue till July 11.
