Man robs woman at gun point at an ATM in Hyderabad

A 25-year-old woman Sri Lalitha, who went to an ATM center, was robbed by an armed man who reportedly fired one round to threaten her early on Wednesday.

Sri Lalitha, a call centre employee, who stays at a hostel in Yousufguda, went to withdraw money from the ATM at around 8 a.m. when an unidentified person accosted her.

"The man pointed a pistol at the woman and asked her Debit card pin number. He then fired one round to threaten her, collected jewellery and debit card and left," the S R Nagar police said.

On receipt of information the S. R . Nagar police rushed to the spot and launched a hunt for the miscreant. The police collected footage recorded by the Closed Circuit Cameras installed in the ATM centre to identify and nab the man.

Investigation revealed that there was no security guard at the ATM centre at the time of the incident. Three special teams have been formed to identify and nab the robber.
