A man allegedly opened fire with his licensed .32 handgun on Tuesday after getting into an argument with his neighbour over a piece of land.
The Hussaini Alam police identified the accused as Sadiq bin Mahfooz, who fired two rounds in the air, after entering into an argument with his neighbour, Shaik Omar.
Inspector Ramesh Kotwal said both staked claim to a three-foot-wide passage and had frequent arguments.
Around 6.30 pm on Tuesday, the duo entered into an argument again after which Sadiq bin Mahfooz opened fire in the air.
The police said they seized the weapon and a case was registered.
