Police are on the look out for a man, who allegedly killed his mother-in-law after she pulled him up for misbehaving with one of her daughters in Shivarampally locality on Thursday night, police said on Friday.

The assailant identified as Amjed Khan (32) was chided by the killed woman, Syeda Sajida (45) for the alleged misbehaviour. Khan’s wife Salima and her sister, with whom he allegedly misbehaved, too picked up an argument with him. Khan grabbed a knife and attacked Sajida.

As the terrified sisters watched, Khan inflicted several knife wounds on his mother-in-law and fled. Her two daughters rushed her to a hospital, where she was declared dead. Khan had been living at his in-laws’ place after he married Salima four years ago. Khan runs a footwear shop.
