A scrap vendor hanged himself to death in an RTC bus at Kukatpally early on Saturday. The deceased, Mohd Zameer (36), stays along with his family at Jagadirigutta.

Zameer left his house the previous day saying that he was going for work and would return by evening. However, on Saturday morning, he was found hanging in a city bus belonging to Ranigunj bus depot which was parked at Prashanthnagar bus terminal in Kukatpally.

The driver and conductor parked the bus on Friday night at the terminal and had gone to rest at the guesthouse. At around 4.30 a.m., they came back and found Zameer hanging from the rod in the bus.

“Zameer’s family members told us that he was facing financial problems for quite some time and had slipped into depression. He might have ended his life because of that,” Kukatpally SI, A. Venkat said.
