Man allegedly murdered over unpaid loan

A 28-year-old man was allegedly murdered after he failed to repay a loan he had taken from his friend.

Kalapather police identified the victim as Mohammed Mohsin, a resident of Kalapather, and an employee in a private firm.

According to inspector K Kanakaiah, a few months ago the victim had taken a loan of ₹ 25,000 from the accused Mohammed Amir (21), a resident of Shastripuram. The victim was unable to repay the loan after which Amir attacked the victim with a knife.

Police said that the incident took place around 10 p.m. on Monday. A murder case has been booked and investigation is ongoing.
