A 35-year-old auto-rickshaw driver allegedly raped his minor daughter in their house at Roshandaula of Pahadisharieff, the police said on Saturday.
The accused, Harinath, raped his 13-year-old daughter two days ago. "The girl complained to her elder brother who lodged complaint with us," the Inspector said.
Harinath first married a divorcee, who had a son with her first husband, 15 years ago. Through him, she had a daughter. As she died three years ago, the auto driver married another woman.
"A few days ago, his second wife went to her parents house. When the minor was alone in the house, he sexually assaulted her on Thursday night and threatened her not to reveal the matter to anyone," the police said.
On learning about it the next morning, her elder brother (foster son of Harinath) approached the police. The teenager was sent to hospital for medical examination.
