Noted real estate developer J. Rameshwar Rao has slapped a Rs. 90-crore notice for defamation against Telugu Desam MLA A. Revanth Reddy over his charge that the government extended undue favour to the former by transferring land allotted to the Gaming City, the AP Transmission Corporation and a police station at Madhapur here.

Mr. Reddy had also accused the TRS government of relaxing registration charges of Rs. 26 crore for the benefit of Mr. Rao, who is popularly known for his My Home project.

Reacting to the notice, Mr. Reddy told media persons that he stood by his charges against Mr. Rao and would prove them in court. He said the notice was an attack on him by the government in the guise of Mr. Rameshwar Rao. The transfer took place only after Mr. K. Chandrasekhar Rao took over as the Chief Minister.

Mr. Reddy also said his charges were aimed against the TRS and the State government but Mr. Rao worked as a mask.
