Lecture on Genomic Medicine at TU today

Students can interact with researcher

United States-based eminent academic Harshavardhan Doddapaneni, professor of Biotechnology in College of Medicine, Texas, will deliver a lecture at the Telangana University, here on Friday.

He will speak on the theme of ‘Genomic Medicine: Base Pairs To Beside and Beyond,’ and will elaborate on the horizons of the genomic medicine. He is visiting Telangana University as part of the initiative taken by the Biotechnology Department head Praveen Mamidala.

Prof. Doddapaneni is an internationally acclaimed researcher in the field of molecular biology and genomics and has served as the director of the Carver Centre for Genomics at the University of Iowa. He has done many path-breaking studies. He has published research papers in high-impact journals of international repute, according to Mr. Mamidala.

The special lecture would begin at 11 a.m. on the University Arts College premises and all the biotechnology and other science stream students can interact with the visiting professor.
