Rachakonda Commissioner of Police Mahesh M. Bhagwat has been selected for the International Association of Chiefs of Police leadership in Human and Civil Rights individual awards for this year.

Mr. Bhagwat was selected by the IACP for his work on rescuing child labourer from brick kilns in the city.

The international award will be presented at a function in Orlando in the US on October 9.
