The mortal remains of Hyderabad businessman Vemuri Tulsi Ram (35), who died in the bomb blasts in Sri Lanka on Sunday, was buried at a cemetery in Borabanda on Wednesday afternoon amid poignant scenes.

The casket carrying the body of Tulsi Ram arrived on Wednesday morning at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport and was later shifted to his residence in Ameerpet in an ambulance.

As soon as the body was shifted from the ambulance, waiting relatives and friends broke down. His mother and sister were inconsolable.

The body was kept at the residence for three hours for the relatives and friends to pay their last respects. Later, it was taken in a hearse van to the cemetery and the coffin was lowered into the grave in accordance with Christian customs.

Tulsi Ram, along with Srinivas Babu and Mohan, went to Sri Lanka on a vacation. While all of them were scheduled to leave on Monday, Mohan advanced his plan and took flight to Hyderabad on Sunday.

When Tulsi Ram and Srinivas were having breakfast at Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo, on Sunday morning, the hotel was attacked by a suicide bomber.
