Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has fulfilled the demand of people of Mulugu by creating a new district though the party did not win the Assembly seat, said party working president K.T. Rama Rao.

The Chief Minister also sanctioned ₹ 300 crore to the AP Rayons factory to restart the factory to help people retain their employment. The government is also striving to complete the Devadula project to bring under cultivation over one lakh acres in Narasampet and Mulugu areas, he said.

Mr. Rao was here as part of his election campaign for Lok Sabha elections in Mahabubabad Lok Sabha constituency. He took part in road show at Narasampet and addressed a public meeting in Mulugu town. He said the BJP and Congress failed to deliver the promises and both could not win many seats in south India.

The regional parties proved themselves to be the best for people and the TRS should win 16 Lok Sabha seats to bargain with the Centre for more funds for welfare and development of people of Telangana, he said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his party promised to bring back black money but failed to deliver the promise and similarly the Congress lost public patronage with its inefficient performance. It is the TRS that delivered all its promises and hence people of Telangana gave a thumping mandate once again in the recent Assembly elections, he said.

“The TRS needs to win 16 Lok Sabha seats. It is very important for people of Telangana to win all the Member of Parliament seats. The Chief Minister can do much more to the State with more MPs,” he said. Referring to the problems of Podu farmers, the TRS leader said the chief minister is seized of the matter. “The Chief Minister will come here to Mulugu and hold a meeting with revenue and forest officials after elections.

All podu farmers will get land records and also Rythu Bandhu benefit,” he said.

TRS Mahabubabad parliament candidate Maloth Kavitha, Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao, MLA P. Sudarshan Reddy, MLCs Satyavathi Rahod, K Srihari, P Rajeswar Reddy and others were present.
