KTR holds review of municipal affairs

To meet all municipal commissioners soon

Minister for Municipal Administration, K.T. Rama Rao, said a meeting will be held with the municipal commissioners of all the urban local bodies across Telangana to make them aware of the priorities of the government, about provisions of the new Municipal Act and various activities to be taken up in their respective areas.

He was presiding over a meeting of top civic officials including Municipal Administration Secretary Arvind Kumar, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Commissioner Lokesh Kumar, Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) MD M. Dana Kishore, HMR MD NVS Reddy, Director of Municipal Administration T.K. Sreedevi on Wednesday.

Presentations

Earlier, the officials concerned made presentations about the ongoing work in their respective areas to update the Minister about the state of affairs in the urban areas across the State.

Ms. Sreedevi detailed the various activities like fixing of LED lights, greenery, development of parks, cleaning up of graveyards, protection of empty plots in layouts and so on in the various municipalities.
