The only jarring note came from Kagaznagar town in Kumram Bheem Asifabad district where the Congress party staged a protest at Rajiv Gandhi Chowk against the event. The protesters led by Sirpur Constituency in-charge of Congress, Palvai Harish Babu, accused the government of shifting the site of the Pranahita barrage from Tummidi-Hattti in Koutala mandal thereby depriving the region of water for irrigation.
