‘KCR takes decisions at home, Assembly passes them’

AICC secretary and former MLA Sampath Kumar has alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is getting the bills passed in the Assembly after taking decisions at his house, and this is demeaning the House.

At a press conference here, Mr. Sampath Kumar alleged that “except the family members of the Chief Minister, no one knows how the new Municipal Act is going to be. This reflects the feudal rule in the State and even the Cabinet Ministers agree to the decisions blindly rather than expressing their opinions.”

He claimed that the misuse of public funds for political gains is rampant in Mr. Rao’s regime. The drought situation in the State has not moved him at all and farmers are left to their fate with no support from the government, he alleged.

“Mr. Rao thinks distributing money to farmers during the elections - like he did through Rythu Bandhu scheme - would get him votes and later you can neglect them,” he alleged. The support system to farmers in the State has totally failed and the input subsidy is not given at the right time to help them, he said.

The Chief Minister is only thinking of politics and political gain rather than welfare of farmers and other sections, he said. “He concentrates only on elections and politics, and nothing else,” Mr. Sampath alleged.
