Karimnagar passport centre to open in Nov.

The Regional Passport Office here has decided to launch a passport service centre at Karimnagar in November and also a sub-centre at Nizamabad soon.

Regional Passport Officer Ashwini Sattaru and Passport Officer Ashok Kumar called on Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao here on Thursday and informed him that Hyderabad RPO had achieved the distinction of issuing passport in a week’s time in the country by completing the police verification process early. The cooperation of the State government helps in completing the verification process in three days, Ms. Ashwini stated.

The Chief Minister requested the RPO to set up a passport service centre at Warangal too and if necessary he would take up the matter with Union External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj. A large number of people from Telangana were in the US and other countries for pursing higher education and for business/employment, he said.
