A karate instructor Nageshwar Rao (28), who consumed poison suspecting his wife’s fidelity three days ago, died on Sunday afternoon. Before consuming the poison, the man had recorded a selfie video and held his wife Varalakshmi, a police constable and her family members responsible for his death. Nageshwar Rao and Varalakshmi have been living in a house at Bansilalpet for the last one year after a love marriage.

A few days ago, differences cropped up between them after Rao suspected that Varalakshmi was having an affair with another constable working at the city Armed Headquarters at Petlaburj. On Thursday, the man went to the CAR headquarters and complained to her superiors that she was regularly chatting with a constable named Santosh over phone.

“On Friday, the man recorded a video over phone and sent it to a few friends. He was rushed to Gandhi Hospital where he died on Sunday,” Inspector Gandhinagar A. Sanjeeva Rao said.
