Indian School of Business (ISB) and Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO on Monday entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate towards strengthening executive education and research in emerging markets.

The B-schools will work together in areas related to executive education, public policy and family business. Joint educational modules, faculty and research staff exchange, organising of joint events, academic research figure in the list of initiatives proposed, a release from ISB on the MoU that was signed at its Hyderabad campus said.

ISB Dean Rajendra Srivastava and SKOLKOVO Dean Marat Atnashev exchanged documents related to the three year MoU.

“We are developing a joint module delivered by ISB for the Eurasia programme. This will happen for the next promotion which is in a bit more than one year’s time,” said Mr. Atnashev. “A team of professors from ISB is working with a joint team of Skolkovo and HKSUT to develop the marketing module in India. The typical module is two weeks, a short module but very intensive,” he added.

The content of the Executive MBA, offered by HKUST Business School and SKOLKOVO, is tailored for executives, entrepreneurs and public officials working with Eurasian markets and institutions. As per the SKOLKOVO website, the programme takes participants through seven countries to hone their global perspective, get an understanding of best innovation practices around the world and engage in international networking.

Mr. Srivastava described the MoU as a “great opportunity for us to expand the frontiers of academic collaborations globally with like-minded partners. With SKOLKOVO, we hope to strengthen our executive education programmes and also our ongoing research on emerging markets.”

He said ISB plans to launch a post graduate programme in finance in Mumbai in January 2020, at a third party location. The 16-month PGP, to be held on weekends, will be focused on areas like fintech, he said.
