Over a dozen of senior IPS officers along with their family members took part in the Haritha Haram programme by planting saplings at their quarters in Jubilee Hills on Sunday.

The drive took place at senior officers’ quarters in Pleasant Valley on Road No. 10C of Jubilee Hills.

Director General of Police (Prison) and president Pleasant Valley Residents Welfare Association V.K. Singh said there are 23 quarters in the complex and the officers along with their wives and children planted more than 200 saplings.

“Every year during monsoon we plant saplings in here and our children also took part with enthusiasm,” he said. The IPS officers, who planted saplings include Rajiv Trivedi, T. Krishna Prasad, V.K. Singh, Govind Singh, Madhusudhan Reddy, Vijay Kumar, Shikha Goel, Akun Sabarwal, Swati Lakra, C.V. Anand and Abhilasha Bisht.
