City police continue to crack down on cricket betting gangs during the IPL season in Hyderabad. Two more persons were arrested as part of ongoing investigations.

The West Zone Police informed on Sunday about the arrest of two persons from Kacheguda. Milan Kothari and Devesh Kothari were nabbed on Saturday and ₹ 9.5 lakh in cash was seized. The duo was accused in a cricket betting racket operating from Begum Bazar that was busted on May 11.

Since many youngsters have been caught in betting rackets, Hyderabad Commissioner of Police Anjani Kumar recently made a public appeal explaining the ills of betting, urging parents to not allow their children to place bets.
