An inebriated person hit his three-year-old son against an autorickshaw at Jagadgirigutta late on Sunday. However, the child survived and was admitted to Niloufer Hospital here.

The scene was captured on a phone-camera by one of his neighbours, police said.

According to the police, around 2 a.m. on Monday, the accused, Shiva Goud, a resident of Srinivasa Nagar colony in the area, picked up an argument with his wife and, in a fit of range, he flung Ritwik at an autorickshaw halted near his house.

Jagadgirigutta inspector Narasimha Reddy said Goud, who was in an inebriated condition, was arrested after a suo motu case was registered as the the latter’s wife was not willing to lodge a complaint.
